Fundraising, Donations and Withdrawals Terms

These Fundraising, Donations and Withdrawals Terms (Fundraising Terms) form a legally binding agreement between you and Verdant Volunteers. Verdant Volunteers may be referred to as Verdant, we, our, or us. These Fundraising Terms apply whenever you create, administer, promote, support, receive funds from, or donate to a Campaign, or request or receive a Withdrawal through the Platform.

By creating or publishing a Campaign, making a Donation, accepting Campaign Funds, requesting a Withdrawal, or otherwise using a fundraising or payment feature, you accept these Fundraising Terms. If you act for an organization or another person, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization or person.

These Fundraising Terms are designed for a global platform. They apply to the maximum extent permitted by law and do not waive any right or protection that cannot lawfully be waived.

These Fundraising Terms supplement the Terms and Conditions, Volunteer Participation Terms, Host and Placement Terms, Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy, Impact Points and Badges Terms, Refund and Cancellation Policy, Privacy Policy, Data Protection Policy, Cookie Policy, community rules, and any Campaign-specific or transaction-specific disclosures shown on the Platform. Those documents are incorporated by reference.

If these Fundraising Terms conflict with the general Terms and Conditions on a matter concerning a Campaign, Donation, Campaign Balance, or Withdrawal, these Fundraising Terms control. Transaction-specific disclosures accepted at checkout or when a Withdrawal is requested control for that transaction to the extent they are more specific and lawful. Mandatory applicable law controls over all contractual terms.

Available Campaign Balance means the provisional amount shown as eligible to be requested for Withdrawal after applicable fees, refunds, reversals, chargebacks, reserves, prior Withdrawals, currency adjustments, taxes, corrections, and other authorized deductions or restrictions.

Beneficiary means the person, community, organization, project, or charitable organization identified as intended to benefit from a Campaign.

Campaign means a fundraising appeal, donation page, peer-to-peer fundraiser, charitable appeal, community support initiative, or other approved fundraising activity made available through the Platform.

Campaign Funds means amounts received in connection with a Campaign before they are lawfully refunded, reversed, charged back, disbursed, withdrawn, redirected, or otherwise resolved under these Fundraising Terms.

Campaign Organizer means the person or entity that creates, controls, administers, or is responsible for a Campaign, including a person acting for a Beneficiary.

Donation means a voluntary contribution made through the Platform for a Campaign, without an expectation of repayment, ownership, profit, or goods or services except where a lawful benefit is expressly disclosed.

Donor means a person or entity that makes or attempts to make a Donation.

Impact Badge and Impact Points have the meanings stated in the Impact Points and Badges Terms.

Payment Partner means a bank, card network, mobile money provider, payment processor, payout provider, identity verification provider, or other third party involved in receiving, safeguarding, converting, transmitting, or disbursing funds.

Withdrawal means a request by an eligible Campaign Organizer to transfer an Available Campaign Balance to an approved bank account, mobile money account, or other supported payout destination.

Verdant provides technology, Campaign hosting, communications, verification, compliance, recordkeeping, payment facilitation, support, and related services. Unless Verdant expressly identifies itself as the recipient charity or Campaign Organizer, Verdant is not the Campaign Organizer, Beneficiary, or charitable recipient of a Donation.

Verdant does not endorse, sponsor, control, or guarantee a Campaign merely because it is available, reviewed, verified, featured, or assigned a badge or trust indicator. Verdant does not guarantee that a Campaign will reach its target, that a Campaign Organizer will use funds exactly as described, that a Beneficiary will receive a particular amount, or that a Donation or Withdrawal will be completed within an estimated time.

Payment services may be provided by Payment Partners under their own terms. Verdant may act as a limited payment collection or disbursement agent only to the extent expressly stated for a transaction. Except where applicable law provides otherwise, use of the Platform does not create a general fiduciary, trustee, escrow, deposit-taking, investment advisory, or banking relationship between Verdant and any user.

A Campaign Organizer must be at least eighteen years old or the age of legal majority in the Organizer's jurisdiction, whichever is higher, and must have legal capacity to enter into this agreement. An Organizer acting for a company, nonprofit, charity, community group, school, religious body, government entity, or Beneficiary must have current authority to do so.

The Campaign Organizer must provide complete, accurate, current, and non-misleading information about the Organizer, Beneficiary, Campaign purpose, intended use of funds, target amount, material risks, and any relationship between the Organizer and Beneficiary. Verdant may require proof of identity, authority, organizational status, good standing, charitable status, bank ownership, address, tax status, licenses, registrations, or Beneficiary consent.

If a Campaign names or uses the intellectual property of a charitable organization or other Beneficiary, the Campaign Organizer must have permission where required by law. If permission has not been obtained, that fact must be disclosed where required, and Verdant may refuse or remove the Campaign.

By creating or administering a Campaign, the Campaign Organizer represents, warrants, and agrees that:

1. The Campaign is truthful, lawful, and not misleading by statement, image, implication, or omission.
2. The Campaign Organizer has authority to solicit, receive, administer, and use Campaign Funds for the stated purpose.
3. Campaign Funds will be used only for the stated Campaign purpose and lawful, closely related costs disclosed to Donors.
4. The Campaign Organizer will keep reasonable records showing receipt, custody, transfer, and use of Campaign Funds.
5. The Campaign Organizer will promptly correct inaccurate information and provide material updates concerning delays, changes, overfunding, underfunding, cancellation, or inability to carry out the stated purpose.
6. The Campaign Organizer will comply with all applicable fundraising, charitable solicitation, nonprofit, tax, accounting, consumer protection, sanctions, anti-money laundering, privacy, licensing, registration, and reporting laws.
7. The Campaign Organizer will cooperate with reasonable verification, audit, refund, chargeback, safety, legal, and compliance requests.

Campaign Organizers are responsible for claims, promises, rewards, benefits, receipts, reports, and representations they make to Donors. Verdant's review does not transfer those responsibilities to Verdant.

Campaigns and Campaign Funds must not be used for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, exploitative, or unsafe purposes. Prohibited activity includes:

1. Materially false stories, fabricated Beneficiaries, impersonation, forged records, concealed conflicts of interest, or misleading claims about need, urgency, endorsement, charitable status, or use of funds.
2. Money laundering, sanctions evasion, terrorist financing, bribery, corruption, trafficking, exploitation, hate, violence, illegal discrimination, or other criminal activity.
3. Regulated financial products, investments, securities, loans, interest-bearing arrangements, money transmission, debt collection, or promises of financial return unless Verdant has expressly approved the activity and it is lawful.
4. Illegal drugs, weapons, contraband, unlawful medical products, unlawful gambling, lotteries, raffles, sweepstakes, or prizes.
5. Political contributions or regulated election activity where prohibited or not expressly approved by Verdant.
6. Infringement of intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights.
7. Circular Donations, self-funding arrangements, artificial transactions, or coordinated activity intended primarily to manipulate Campaign performance, Impact Points, badges, reviews, rankings, or Withdrawal eligibility.
8. Using Campaign Funds to make Donations, generate Impact Points, obtain an Impact Badge, or satisfy a participation condition.

This list is not exhaustive. Verdant may reject, pause, restrict, or remove activity that reasonably presents legal, financial, safety, reputational, or platform-integrity risk.

Every Donation is voluntary. A Donor is responsible for reviewing the Campaign description, Campaign Organizer, Beneficiary, intended use, fees, tax information, refund terms, and other disclosures before donating. Donors should contribute only amounts they are legally authorized and financially able to contribute.

Before a Donation is completed, the Platform will identify or provide access to the material transaction information required by applicable law, including the party to whom the Donation is legally made, the intended Beneficiary, whether a named charitable organization has authorized the solicitation where relevant, applicable fees and expected net proceeds, tax-deductibility information, the estimated or legally required maximum transfer period, and the principal circumstances in which the intended Beneficiary may not receive the funds. Where an alternate-recipient process may apply, the applicable disclosure will explain that process.

A Donation is not a purchase, loan, investment, deposit, ownership interest, or promise of repayment. A Donor does not acquire control over the Campaign Organizer, Beneficiary, or Campaign Funds merely by donating. Any reward, acknowledgment, membership benefit, or item offered in connection with a Donation is governed by its specific disclosure and may affect tax treatment.

Verdant does not require a Campaign Organizer to make a personal Donation, deposit personal funds, purchase Impact Points, or buy an account upgrade as a condition of requesting or receiving a Withdrawal. If an Impact Badge condition applies, Donations remain optional and the condition may be satisfied through qualifying verified volunteering or another non-payment method expressly made available under the Impact Points and Badges Terms.

By submitting a Donation, the Donor authorizes Verdant and its Payment Partners to charge the selected payment method for the displayed amount, fees, voluntary tip, and taxes, if any. The Donor represents that the payment information is accurate, the Donor is authorized to use the payment method, and the transaction does not violate law or another agreement.

A Donation is not completed until the payment is authorized, accepted, and confirmed. Verdant or a Payment Partner may decline, limit, cancel, reverse, or review a transaction for payment failure, suspected fraud, sanctions, security, legal, compliance, or network-rule reasons.

A Donor who chooses to be anonymous is anonymous only to the public unless the Platform states otherwise. Verdant, Payment Partners, Campaign Organizers, Beneficiaries, regulators, tax authorities, or law enforcement may receive identifying and transaction information where reasonably necessary or legally required.

If recurring Donations are offered, the frequency, amount, start date, and method for cancellation will be disclosed before enrollment. By enrolling, the Donor authorizes recurring charges until cancellation.

Cancellation applies prospectively and must be submitted through the available account controls or support channel before the next charge is processed. Cancellation does not automatically reverse a Donation already processed. Verdant may end or suspend a recurring Donation arrangement at any time for legal, payment, security, Campaign, or operational reasons.

Before a Donation is completed or a Withdrawal is submitted, the Platform will disclose fees, tips, currency conversion, taxes, deductions, and the amount expected to be charged or disbursed to the extent required by law and reasonably determinable at that time.

Fees may include payment processing, platform, payout, mobile money, bank, cross-border, currency conversion, expedited processing, tax, or third-party charges. An optional tip to Verdant is separate from the Donation and does not increase the amount payable to the Campaign unless expressly stated. Optional tips may be changed or removed before payment is submitted.

Exchange rates may be set by Verdant, a Payment Partner, a card network, or a financial institution and may include a spread or conversion fee. A Donor's payment method or a Campaign Organizer's payout provider may impose additional charges outside Verdant's control.

Verdant or the legally responsible recipient will promptly provide any transaction confirmation, donation receipt, tax acknowledgment, or disclosure required by applicable law. A payment receipt confirms processing information; it is not a representation that a Donation is tax deductible. A Donation is tax deductible only where applicable law permits and the legally qualified recipient provides or authorizes the required acknowledgment.

For United States federal income tax purposes, Donations to individuals and to organizations that are not qualified recipients generally are not deductible as charitable contributions. If a Donor receives goods or services in return, only the amount permitted by law may qualify for a deduction. Where required, the responsible charitable recipient will provide a written acknowledgment and a good-faith estimate of the value of goods or services provided.

Tax laws vary by country and may depend on the Donor, recipient, Campaign structure, and use of funds. Verdant does not provide tax or legal advice and does not guarantee any deduction, credit, exemption, exclusion, or reporting treatment. Donors and Campaign Organizers should consult their own advisers and retain appropriate records.

The Campaign Organizer must apply Campaign Funds to the purpose represented to Donors. Administrative, delivery, banking, tax, and implementation costs may be paid from Campaign Funds only when disclosed or reasonably necessary to carry out that purpose and permitted by law.

If the stated purpose becomes impossible, unlawful, impracticable, fully funded, materially changed, or no longer requires all funds, the Campaign Organizer must notify Verdant and provide a truthful update. Subject to applicable law and the Campaign structure, Verdant may require one or more of the following: Donor consent, refunds, transfer to the Beneficiary, use for a closely related purpose, transfer to an eligible alternate charitable recipient, or another legally permitted resolution.

No Campaign statement creates a private trust, restricted gift, or fiduciary relationship unless applicable law or an express written agreement says otherwise. This provision does not authorize diversion or misuse of Campaign Funds and does not limit legal restrictions that apply to charitable assets.

Campaign Funds may be received, processed, and held by Verdant or one or more Payment Partners pending refund, transfer, or Withdrawal. Campaign Funds held by Verdant will be maintained in one or more accounts separate from Verdant's operating funds. Funds for multiple Campaigns may be pooled in a custodial or settlement account, with records maintained to identify the amount attributable to each Campaign.

Campaign Funds are not bank deposits made by Donors or Campaign Organizers, do not earn interest for users unless expressly stated, and are not covered by deposit insurance or investor protection merely because they appear as a Platform balance. Payment Partner safeguards or pass-through protections apply only when expressly provided by the relevant institution and applicable law.

Verdant will not use Campaign Funds as its own operating funds. Verdant may deduct disclosed fees and amounts lawfully due, establish reasonable reserves, and hold, return, reverse, remit, or transfer funds as permitted by these Fundraising Terms, Payment Partner rules, or applicable law.

Balances displayed on the Platform are provisional accounting records and may change. An Available Campaign Balance may be calculated by subtracting or accounting for:

1. Failed, pending, canceled, refunded, reversed, disputed, or charged-back Donations.
2. Platform, processing, payout, banking, mobile money, conversion, tax, and third-party fees.
3. Reserves, holds, legal process, corrections, duplicate credits, and unauthorized transactions.
4. Prior or pending Withdrawals and transfers.
5. Amounts the Campaign Organizer owes Verdant or a Payment Partner in connection with the Campaign.

If adjustments create a negative balance, the Campaign Organizer must repay the amount on demand. Verdant may offset the amount against other balances lawfully payable to the same Campaign Organizer, recover it through the original payment method where authorized, or use other lawful collection methods.

A displayed balance does not create an unconditional right to immediate payment. Before a Withdrawal may be approved, the Campaign Organizer must satisfy all requirements then applicable to the account, Campaign, payment method, and jurisdiction, which may include:

1. Identity, age, address, organization, Beneficiary, authority, bank-account, mobile-money, tax, and source-of-funds verification.
2. Campaign approval and compliance with these Fundraising Terms and other Platform rules.
3. A sufficient Available Campaign Balance and any minimum or maximum amount displayed for the selected method or jurisdiction.
4. An approved payout destination held in the Campaign Organizer's or authorized Beneficiary's name.
5. Completion of applicable waiting periods, reserves, reviews, and Payment Partner requirements.
6. Account good standing and resolution of refunds, chargebacks, disputes, negative balances, and legal restrictions.
7. Where assigned following an account review, completion of the specific Impact Badge requirement displayed to the Campaign Organizer.

Meeting one condition does not waive any other condition or guarantee approval. Withdrawal limits, methods, fees, and documentation requirements may vary by country, currency, account history, Campaign type, Payment Partner, and risk profile and will be disclosed through the Platform or an account-specific notice.

Following an individual account review, Verdant may determine that a Campaign Organizer must earn a specified Impact Badge before the next Withdrawal can be completed. The requirement forms part of Verdant's trust, verified-participation, and account-safety framework. It reflects Verdant's community participation model, under which members who receive support from the wider community may also be asked to establish a genuine, verified history of involvement in that community.

When this condition applies, Verdant will provide an account notice identifying the required badge, the Organizer's recorded Impact Points, the remaining requirement, the available qualifying methods, and how to request review of an error or material accessibility issue.

An Impact Badge condition is a participation and account-standing condition; it is not a demand for a Donation or payment. A Campaign Organizer is not required to donate a specified amount and must not use Campaign Funds to generate Impact Points. Qualifying verified volunteering provides a non-payment route. If a reasonably accessible qualifying volunteering opportunity is unavailable because of location, disability, safety, legal restriction, or another material circumstance, the Campaign Organizer may ask Support to review an available alternative non-payment method.

The condition is not imposed as a charge for access to Campaign Funds and is not intended to confiscate those funds or deny a Withdrawal indefinitely. Until the condition is satisfied, waived, or replaced following review, however, the affected Withdrawal will remain ineligible for completion. Campaign Funds are not forfeited to Verdant solely because the Campaign Organizer declines or is unable to participate and will not become Verdant's property for that reason. The funds remain subject to applicable refunds, chargebacks, reserves, legal process, Campaign resolution, inactivity, and unclaimed-property rules.

Verdant recognizes that volunteering may require an application, host approval, attendance, and completion verification and therefore may not be immediate. The host organization, not Verdant, makes the final acceptance decision. Verdant will administer an assigned requirement in good faith and will provide a Support review channel where qualifying activity is materially delayed, unavailable, or incorrectly recorded.

Badge completion does not bypass identity, sanctions, fraud, tax, Campaign, Payment Partner, or other Withdrawal reviews. Impact Points, badges, earning rules, adjustments, and review procedures are governed by the Impact Points and Badges Terms.

The Campaign Organizer must review the amount, currency, fees, payout destination, account-holder information, and estimated processing time before submitting a Withdrawal. By submitting the request, the Campaign Organizer confirms that the information is accurate and authorizes Verdant and its Payment Partners to process the transfer and any required currency conversion.

Verdant may require the payout destination to be owned by the verified Campaign Organizer, Beneficiary, or represented organization. Third-party, anonymous, mismatched, prepaid, high-risk, or unsupported destinations may be rejected. A Campaign Organizer must not use a Withdrawal to evade law, sanctions, taxes, creditor rights, court orders, Campaign restrictions, or Platform controls.

A Withdrawal may be canceled only before processing reaches a stage at which Verdant or the Payment Partner can no longer stop it. Submission does not guarantee acceptance, delivery, or availability by a particular date.

Verdant may review, hold, delay, reserve, limit, cancel, reverse, or refuse a Donation or Withdrawal where reasonably necessary to:

1. Verify identity, authority, Beneficiary, Campaign purpose, payout ownership, source of funds, or use of funds.
2. Investigate suspected fraud, deception, unauthorized activity, account compromise, duplicate accounts, circular funding, misuse, or policy violations.
3. Address refunds, chargebacks, donor complaints, legal claims, negative balances, or Payment Partner requirements.
4. Comply with sanctions, anti-money laundering, anti-terrorist-financing, tax, court, regulatory, law-enforcement, safeguarding, consumer-protection, or other legal obligations.
5. Protect Donors, Beneficiaries, Campaign Organizers, Verdant, Payment Partners, or the public from a reasonably identified risk.

The Campaign Organizer must respond accurately and within the time stated in the request. A review may continue for as long as reasonably necessary to obtain information, assess risk, resolve a dispute, comply with law, or receive a Payment Partner or authority decision. Where lawful and practicable, Verdant will provide the general reason for a material restriction and a means to submit relevant information.

A reserve may be maintained for an amount and period reasonably related to anticipated refunds, chargebacks, disputes, fees, legal obligations, or other identified exposure. Verdant may adjust or release a reserve as the underlying risk changes.

Verdant will periodically assess whether a material Withdrawal restriction or reserve remains reasonably necessary and will release or reduce it when the underlying basis has been resolved, except where release is prohibited by law, court order, regulator direction, Payment Partner requirement, or an unresolved claim or investigation.

Donation settlement and Withdrawal delivery times are estimates unless expressly identified as guaranteed. Timing may depend on verification, Campaign review, weekends, holidays, currencies, countries, banking systems, mobile networks, Payment Partners, reserves, technical events, and legal requirements.

The Platform will display the estimated processing time and, where required by law, the applicable maximum period for sending funds to an eligible recipient. Verdant may use more than one transfer or Payment Partner to complete a Withdrawal.

Verdant is not responsible for a delay caused by inaccurate information, a Campaign Organizer's failure to cooperate, a recipient financial institution, a Payment Partner, government action, legal process, sanctions review, network outage, force majeure event, or another circumstance outside Verdant's reasonable control, except to the extent applicable law provides otherwise.

A Withdrawal may fail, be rejected, be returned, or be reversed because of incorrect details, account mismatch, closed accounts, unsupported currency, limits, Payment Partner rules, compliance concerns, legal restrictions, or recipient-bank action.

If funds are returned to Verdant, Verdant will ordinarily credit the returned amount to the Campaign Balance after deducting non-refundable third-party charges and resolving any restriction. A Campaign Organizer is responsible for verifying corrected payout information. Repeated failures may result in additional review, limits, or suspension of Withdrawal access.

If a transfer was sent in error, duplicated, obtained through fraud, or later reversed by a payment network or financial institution, the recipient must cooperate in returning funds not lawfully owed.

Donations are generally final and non-refundable once processed, particularly after funds have been transferred or committed to the Campaign purpose. A Donor may request review of an unauthorized, duplicate, erroneous, fraudulent, materially misleading, or legally refundable transaction under the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Verdant may refund, reverse, or cancel a Donation where required by law, authorized by the Campaign Organizer or eligible recipient, necessary to correct an error, appropriate to protect users, or reasonably connected with fraud, misrepresentation, Campaign cancellation, sanctions, or a policy violation.

If a Donation is refunded, reversed, or charged back after Campaign Funds have been withdrawn, the Campaign Organizer is liable for the amount and associated fees and must repay them on demand. Verdant may establish reserves or offset amounts otherwise payable to the Campaign Organizer where lawful.

A Donor should contact Verdant before initiating a chargeback so that the issue can be reviewed. This does not limit any non-waivable right to dispute an unauthorized or incorrect payment.

Verdant may pause Donations, restrict Withdrawals, remove a Campaign, or suspend or close an account where the Campaign is unlawful, misleading, unauthorized, inactive, unable to fulfill its purpose, associated with material risk, or otherwise violates these Fundraising Terms.

When a Campaign is suspended, canceled, or removed, Verdant may investigate and determine an appropriate disposition of remaining Campaign Funds. Subject to applicable law and the facts, funds may be held pending review, refunded to Donors, transferred to the verified Beneficiary, used for a closely related disclosed purpose, transferred to an eligible alternate charitable organization, remitted to a government authority, or treated as unclaimed property.

Closing an account does not create a right to immediate Withdrawal and does not eliminate obligations concerning Campaign Funds, refunds, chargebacks, records, taxes, investigations, or legal process. Verdant will not retain remaining Campaign Funds as revenue merely because an account is closed, except for disclosed fees and amounts lawfully owed to Verdant.

Campaign Organizers must keep contact, verification, and payout information current. If a Campaign Balance remains inactive or cannot be delivered, Verdant may attempt to contact the Campaign Organizer or Beneficiary and may require renewed verification.

After reasonable efforts and subject to applicable law, dormant or unclaimed funds may be refunded where practicable, transferred to a verified Beneficiary or eligible alternate recipient consistent with the Campaign purpose, remitted to the appropriate government authority under unclaimed-property law, or otherwise resolved as legally required. Verdant may deduct only fees and costs permitted by law and disclosed before deduction.

Campaign Organizers are solely responsible for determining whether Campaign Funds are gifts, charitable contributions, taxable income, restricted assets, reportable payments, or subject to another legal or accounting treatment. Crowdfunding proceeds may be taxable depending on the facts and jurisdiction.

Verdant or a Payment Partner may request tax identification information, apply withholding, report transactions, or issue information returns where required. Receipt of a tax form does not by itself determine the final tax treatment of a transaction. Campaign Organizers and Donors should obtain independent professional advice.

Campaign Organizers must maintain complete records for the period required by applicable law and provide records reasonably requested to investigate Campaign use, respond to Donors, resolve disputes, complete audits, or comply with legal obligations.

Verdant processes personal and financial information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable law. Information may be shared with Payment Partners, Campaign Organizers, Beneficiaries, service providers, professional advisers, regulators, tax authorities, courts, law enforcement, or other parties where necessary to process transactions, administer Campaigns, prevent fraud, enforce these Fundraising Terms, or comply with law.

Campaign Organizers may receive information reasonably necessary to acknowledge Donations, administer a Campaign, provide lawful receipts, communicate updates, and maintain records. They must protect that information, use it only for lawful Campaign-related purposes, and must not add Donors to unrelated marketing lists without any consent required by law.

Verdant may send transaction confirmations, receipts, verification requests, Campaign notices, Withdrawal updates, legal notices, and other service communications. These are transactional communications and may be sent notwithstanding marketing preferences.

No person may use a Campaign, Donation, or Withdrawal to violate sanctions, export controls, anti-money laundering, anti-terrorist-financing, anti-bribery, anti-corruption, tax, or financial-crime laws. Users must not act for a prohibited person or conceal the identity, location, ownership, source, destination, or purpose of funds.

Verdant may screen persons, organizations, Campaigns, payment methods, devices, locations, and transactions against sanctions and risk information. Verdant may block, freeze, reject, report, or remit funds where required by law or a competent authority and may be legally prohibited from providing notice or releasing information.

Verdant may update these Fundraising Terms to reflect changes in law, regulation, Payment Partner requirements, safety practices, fraud risks, fees, features, or Platform operations. The updated document will state the revision and effective dates, and Verdant will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by law.

Material changes generally apply prospectively from the stated effective date. A Campaign or transaction may remain subject to the version accepted when it was created or submitted where required by law. Verdant may apply an immediate change where reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users or Campaign Funds, address fraud or security, or preserve payment-system integrity.

If a user does not agree to an update, the user must stop creating new Campaigns, making new Donations, or initiating new fundraising transactions before the effective date. Existing Campaign Funds remain subject to provisions reasonably necessary for custody, refunds, compliance, Withdrawal, dispute resolution, and lawful disposition.

The disclaimers, limitations of liability, releases, and indemnity provisions in the Terms and Conditions apply to Campaigns, Donations, Campaign Funds, Payment Partners, and Withdrawals to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Without limiting those provisions, Verdant does not guarantee the truth of Campaign Content, conduct of a Campaign Organizer, outcome of a Campaign, tax treatment of a Donation, availability of a payment method, uninterrupted payment processing, or performance of a Payment Partner. Nothing in these Fundraising Terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

A Campaign Organizer's indemnity obligations under the Terms and Conditions include claims arising from the Campaign, Campaign Content, fundraising authority, use or misuse of Campaign Funds, promises to Donors, tax or registration obligations, infringement, legal violations, and breach of these Fundraising Terms.

The informal resolution, arbitration, class-action waiver, governing-law, venue, and jurisdiction provisions in the Terms and Conditions apply to these Fundraising Terms. Subject to mandatory law, the governing law is the law of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Nothing in these Fundraising Terms deprives a user of mandatory consumer, charitable-asset, fundraising, payment, privacy, court-access, or other rights that apply in the user's jurisdiction and cannot be waived by contract. Campaign Organizers and Donors remain responsible for laws applicable where they reside, solicit, operate, donate, receive funds, or use funds.

Translations may be provided for convenience. The English version controls in the event of a conflict to the extent permitted by law.

A Donor or Campaign Organizer may contact Support to report an unauthorized transaction, request a refund review, provide verification information, contest a Campaign or Withdrawal restriction, request review of an Impact Badge condition, or ask about Campaign Funds.

Requests should include the account email, Campaign name, transaction or Withdrawal reference, date, amount, and relevant supporting information. Verdant may require identity verification before discussing an account or transaction.
